William Hill Attracts Smokers to Online Casinos

17th Jul 2007

William Hill has launched a new seven figure advertising campaign to attract smokers to its online casinos. Under new law, introduced in England on 1st July, smokers are not allowed to light up in public places, including traditional casinos, bingo halls and bookmakers, and William Hill are seeking to capture the smoking gambling market.

Whilst William Hill may not be the first online casino, they are the first looking to target smokers, who may be attracted by the sit-at-home and smoke option that the online gaming community offers.

The leading British bookmaker is offering new users a $20 bonus when they deposit the same amount and the campaign has been advertised in tabloids such as The Sun, Star, Mirror, News Of The World and Daily Record. The campaign will also include placing 200 ad-vans near to conventional bingo halls and 2000 posters around the country.
