World record set in the online casino industry

Pokerstars are one of the largest names in the world of online casino and poker industry with a strong brand identity and reputation throughout the industry.
Pokerstars are known to provide their players with unrivalled levels of service quality offering huge tournaments and the general consensus from their members is that they’re very impressed. With this in mind, Pokerstars have spent the past year not focused on marketing but more about setting world records!
Pokerstars have run several tournaments over the past couple of years with the sole intention of topping the record they set in the Guinness book of World Records for the most amounts of players simultaneously online in an online tournament. Their first attempt at this record was set in December 2008 where Pokerstars put out a call to the online casino’s and their lyal players in order to gather together enough people for a huge tournament with low buy ins and massive competition.
Pokerstars then launched another effort in the summer of 2009 in order to attempt to best their previous record.
Two weeks ago, the Pokerstars online casino poker tournament was launched which yet again; set another world record with 149,196 players from all over the world involved in the tournament.
