To Vote or Not To Vote for Casino Resort in Ohio
31st October, 2007
Investors are now resorting to the only way they can make the possibility of casino gambling possible in the southwest Ohio and collecting signatures from the voters to allow $600 million casino resort to be built near the city of Wilmington.
Brad Pressman, of the Cleveland-based My Ohio Now said he is planning to collect one thousand signatures and present the petitions to the state attorney at the end of this week.
If the outcome is positive and petitions are certified, then the next step would be to collect 402,000 signatures for a petition to be put on a ballot in the end of next year.
If the ballot results are positive for the investors, then 94 acres of farmyard off Interstate 71 will be the home for the luxury casino resort with a modern hotel and a golf course. This magnificent resort is expected to create 5,000 jobs for the local residents.
