The deal between 2 firms have ended in success
23rd October, 2007
It has been announced today that the agreement, which was signed earlier this year between the Stockholm-based NYX Interactive and Svenska Spel International on behalf of the Lithuanian notional operator has brought good results, and is now a done deal.
Sweden’s NYX launched in 2006, have established themselves as the leaders in supplying online gaming products as well as services of a very high quality. In February this year the company successfully agreed with the Swedish State Gambling monopoly to deliver an online gaming system to Lithuania’s WinLotto.
Lotto is something that can be considered an equivalent of bingo in most European countries, which is why the Swedish company straight away got the interactive bingo versions and lottery platforms for both single and multi player modes. Considering that Lithuanian computers might not handle some of the complicated hardware from Sweden, the company decided to create all of the games in flash, so the users won’t have to download it at all before playing. Another reason for this is security as not many of the citizens can consider their card details safe enough to give out to unfamiliar sites.
Here is what Mikael Franzen, Vice-President For Svenskaspel.se, had to say on this matter: "In a climate of increasing competitiveness, Svenska Spel continues to evaluate its position on the Swedish market."
"Being competitive requires innovation, speed, flexibility and a constant stream of news. Together with NYX Interactive, we shall create these conditions for the long-haul."
And Staffan Lindgren, Chief Executive Officer for NYX, added to this: 'We have a year of intensive development of number and lottery games behind us. It is gratifying that we can now start rolling out these games on a larger scale also with the largest operator in Sweden and one of the most innovative gaming operators in the world. Thanks to our high-quality gaming products and excellent cooperation with Svenska Spel, a forerunner in on-line gaming products among the world's government-owned lottery companies, we have succeeded in securing an additional customer within the WLA sphere.”
