The US and China are having to give in to the online casino demand

13th January, 2010

All over the world, more and more countries are giving in to the inevitable driving force of online gambling and it’s ever growing popularity across the globe. It may sound slightly over the top, but the online gambling industry is a force to be reckoned with and isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

For that reason, international governments have started to realize that the only way to control the situation is to licences and regulate it. A lot of international governments have realised this and have started to accept the trends of change by legalising online gambling and regulating it, however it’s still the bigger, more powerful governments who are refusing to admit defeat – namely the US and China.

Both of these countries have some of the strictest and ineffective online gambling laws in the world with the problems coming from the fact that banning and blocking online gambling just doesn’t work.

There are nations such as South Africa and Australia who have embraced the new industry and have liberalized their online gambling markets in an effort to control the industry in their area with better effect.
