Strong month for 888 casino
17th December, 2007
Online casino 888.com says it is currently trading stronger than expected and remains confident about the full figures for 2007.
The games operator, which recently launched a responsible gaming site to help gamblers get information and advice on how to cope with addiction, says it is positive about its performance over the last 12 months.
"The board of 888 announces that the group continues to trade in line with management's expectations, underpinned by stronger than expected current trading and that they remain confident about the group's prospects for the full year," according to a statement from the online casino.
In October, the group reported that gaming revenue from its businesses outside of the US increased by 37 per cent to $52.5 million (£26 million) in the third quarter of 2007 on last year's figures.
Meanwhile, the group are said to be getting into the Christmas spirit by releasing a viral Secret Santa.
Throughout the run up to Christmas, the cheery figure will be sending messages to those playing poker on Casino-on-Net and offering presents of an $8 bonus, an $88 bonus or a raffle ticket to the $8,888 raffle.
