Sega games have signed an agreement 192business to supply the site with its age and identification services in addition to a deal with Quova who provide IP geolocation data services.

Sega emphasizes the importance of responsible gaming and how committed they are to providing the highest standards by enforcing the strictest policies to make sure that players can enjoy their online gaming experience securely and reliably.

“We at SEGA Games Ltd believe that responsible gaming is the essence of developing an enjoyable gaming experience,” said a SEGA Games spokesperson. “Teaming with 192business provides not only us, but most importantly our players, with the security and confidence that their gaming experience is free of any wrong doing, under-age players or unscrupulous activity.”

192business provides ID checking solutions to leading operators Betfair, bet365 and PKR and more.

“We are excited to welcome SEGA Games as one of our new customers,” said Julie Sands, Head of Sales at 192business. “By using our age checks SEGA Games are not only demonstrating social responsibility, but reducing attempted fraud. Our extensive databases mean that SEGA Games can be confident that they know who they are transacting with.”

Sega will also use Quova’s IP geolocation data to stop users that are located in unregulated countries. The system immediately detects the location and triggers the application to provide the player with the appropriate web page customised with games and products that meet the laws in their country.

“We were impressed by Quova's outstanding reputation in the online gaming sphere and its depth of accuracy” said SEGA. “By using Quova we can ensure that geographical-based content restrictions are in place, thereby making sure that we comply with the regulatory requirements of various jurisdictions.”

SEGA Games hopes to advance its use of the data in the future to display relevant promotions and streamline its online sales process allowing the company to efficiently introduce relevant deals to customers.

“The development of the online gaming industry has resulted in a growing demand for accurate IP address data,” said Steve Sawyer, VP of Business Development Worldwide at Quova. “This is a very tightly regulated sphere and having a transparent view of a customer's location is essential to ensure compliance in today's virtual world. We are extremely excited to be working with a company with a reputation and history such as SEGA's.”
