Online casino, Scotland.com, carried out the survey for online slot players in the July, August and September this year. The results are now in and many conclusions have been made about the players’ betting habits, tactics and strategies they use to win and significant wins, that happened through Internet and mobile betting and game playing as well.
The first finding identified that most online and phone slot players preferred to play it safe and bet only small amounts, which they can play on for as long as they find possible. This could be due to the fact that betting for some is more about the game itself, which is why they want to play for as long as they can without potentially losing a lot of money. Every player said they would bet the minimum until they have a feeling the Jackpot is coming, in which case they would bet more. One third of the respondents on the other hand said that only put the maximum bets in.
84% of the respondents think that the best strategy for winning is to play on one machine only, the one that feels lucky. 78% admitted to never staking more than $100, but surprisingly over 50% of the respondents have acquired a win over $1,000.
Some of the questions were aimed to find out why the respondents like playing slot machines. Over 65% responded that the simplicity was the most attractive feature. The residual 35% felt it was the potential big win out of the small bet that attracted them the most.
It turned out that over 20% of the respondents tried playing games on their mobile phones and nearly 100% of the respondents agree that this way of playing is more convenient and economical in terms of time.
Most of the respondents admitted to playing at home most of the time, but 60 of them also played in in-land casinos sometimes. It was also discovered that slot players are mainly middle-aged or older, with only 15% being younger than 30 years of age. There was an equal distribution between males and females.
These results certainly gave a better idea of who plays slots, why they play them and how they prefer to play. Nevertheless, you need to take this with a pinch of salt, as there is always a certain group of players that are too busy or uninterested in answering the surveys, but are as valuable players as the ones who managed to take survey.
