Pirate Theme Casino Has New Lounge and Restaurant

26th November, 2007

Treasure Bay, the casino situated in Biloxi, with a great pirate theme that makes the casino extremely unique and exciting to visit, has now announced an opening of the CQ Restaurant and blu lounge for its guests.

This is what Brandon Dethloff, Manager of the blu and CQ had this to say on the matter: "We wanted to keep the old feeling of the Captain's Quarters, and also put the modern twist on it with the lounge."

The new restaurant and lounge opened just over two weeks ago on the ninth floor of the casino building, so having a great view of the shoreline to enjoy while relaxing. Both, restaurant and lounge have a little different feel from the rest of the casino, as they have more aesthetic, post-Katrina look.

Dethloff said that they didn’t do much promotion for the opening and did not start after, which is why the venues were fairly empty and only now started filling up with visitors as a word-of mouth promotion is getting out there. "Business is picking up. It was a quiet opening, but the word is getting out there. And we're definitely filling up," he said.

The chefs of the restaurant claim the menu is very rich and can suit every taste.

Here is what Matthew Lewis, Chef DeCuisine of CQ Restaurant, said about the food offered: "I think the menu is very international, but has a lot of Bistro favorites. We did bring back some favorites from the old Captain's Quarters."

The lounge is made of tapas and has small appetizer dishes and many wines and other elegant drinks.

"We have anything from a blueberry mojito to several different kinds of martinis, from pear to promegranate, basically, the hip new drinks that are out there," said the chef, Lewis
