Phil Tufnell Is The Face Of Party Casino
27th January, 2010
Former cricketer and reality TV star Phil Tufnell has been hired by PartyGaming to help boost Party Casino’s cross gender appeal.
Phil Tufnell, the former England bowler and winner of “I’m a Celebrity get me out of here!” will be the face of a TV, press and outdoor campaign for party casino highlighting the ranges of games which are available to play at the online gaming site.
Tufnell was chosen due to his ‘broad appeal’ according to a spokesman for the company due to his television profile and sporting achievements.
Party Casino who also own Party Poker and Party bingo is currently in discussions with several companies regarding potential consolidation including Austrian rivals, Bwin. The new campaign will launch during the Celebrity Big Brother final on channel 4. The campaign was created by Home, a Leeds based advertising agency.
PartyGaming hope with the new ads they will appeal more to women who feel safer playing online. According to a survey of 5,000 adults by the Gambling Commission, 9.9% of people gambled “remotely” in the first quarter of 2009, up from 7.2% in 2006. Of the women polled, 7.7% gambled online in the first three months of last year, up from 5% in 2006.
