Online casino in London advertising blitz
13th March, 2008
Up-and-coming online casino GetMinted.com has confirmed that it will be spending in excess of £1 million on advertising in London over the next two months.
The casino gambling enterprise said it would be promoting its various poker, slot machine and bingo services through targeted advertising in phone boxes, at rail stations and outside bingo halls.
Gloria Gonzalez, head of marketing for GetMinted.com, cited research which showed that over 450,000 commuters travel to the capital by rail every day, 72 per cent of whom consider it their main mode of transport.
"Each of these commuters will see the posters around ten times during the two-week campaign," she estimated. "Rail stations were a pertinent location to promote Monopoly given that you can buy train stations on the Monopoly board. There is a clever subtext to the location of these posters."
Footballer actor Vinnie Jones will also be a significant part of the campaign, serving as the operator's public face in its various phone box posters.
