Online Casino Shut Down
4th December, 2007
Online casino, GlobalPlayer.com, had been operating for 8 years before getting closed this week by the owner, online gaming group Universal Gaming Concepts. The online casino had a license from the Caribbean island of Antiqua and despite using its own software at first, changed to Boss Media in the beginning of this year.
Universal Gaming Concepts came to a decision to get rid of GlobalPlayer.com after having evaluated the economic wellbeing of the online casino and finding the results less than satisfactory.
This is what Giancarlo Bettini, Chief Executive Officer for Universal Gaming Concepts, had to say on the matter "The current changes in the legal and economic landscape of the gaming industry has made it increasingly difficult for us to compete and retain our market share. The strategic decision to cease operations while we are still in the position to satisfy our obligations to players, vendors, affiliates and staff reinforces our integrity and commitment to good business practices."
All of the casino’s customers that still have balance on the site are encouraged to cash their account balances as soon as they possibly can. All the transactions and requests will be getting processed up to December, 30th this year.
There is a statement on the site, which explains what customers need to do. "Your account balance is available for immediate payout and you are encouraged to process your payout immediately to avoid delay. If you have not requested your funds prior to our closing date, you must contact Support@Global-Player.com to have your payout requests processed manually," it says.
