MotorCity Casino Hotel Grand Opening

In Detroit 17 storied MotorCity Casino Hotel welcomed many excited customers today to check out the luxury accommodations, supreme guestservice, some fantastic amenities and great entertainment.
The owner of this great new venue, Marian ilitch, had this to say about the news: I am incredibly proud. We are excited toopen the property and treat our guests to a level of hospitality they deserve in Detroit.
Christopher Ilitch who was representing Marian Ilitch, is MotorCity Casino Management Committee member. He was the one welcoming the guests at the opening ceremony earlier today.
DetroitMayor Kwame M.Kilpatrick, Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau Executive VicePresident and Chief Operating Officer Michael O'Callaghan, Travel MichiganVice President George Zimmerman, and casino-hotel leadership, all joined mr. Ilitch at the opening to welcome everybody to what they hope will be Detroit’s next home of casino gambling and great entertainment.
The first two guests in the luxury hotel to check in were Metro DetroiterEdwin Davis and his Norwegian fiancée, Annette Kjelstad. On Saturday the couple will be the first one to get married in the hotel premises. They will have friends attending their wedding and staying in the hotel, who will travel from various parts of the world to share the moment, such as Norway, South Africa, California, Ohio and South Carolina.
The hotel was definitely done to the highest standards, as Mrs. Ilitch herself saw through all the tiny details of décor and furnishing of the rooms. There are 400 guestrooms, 41 suites, various luxury facilities and some great in-rooms details, like plush pillowtop mattresses,300 thread count imported bed linens, marble bathrooms with a separate watercloset, soaking tub and shower, and sumptuous towels and bathrobes
