Microgaming progressive slots fork out $2m

3rd March, 2008

Two lucky casino gambling enthusiasts have shared between them a massive $2 million (£1 million) worth of cash prizes thanks to software developer Microgaming.

Regular gamblers over at 32 Red Casino will already be aware of the operator's reputation for paying out significant cash prizes on a regular basis - but last week's $1,094,112 progressive jackpot payout was big even by its standards.

Online gamer AnneC bagged the prize after spinning her luck at the Microgaming's Major Millions slot. Having spoken to her, 32Red chief executive office Ed Ware described the lucky casino fan as being "understandably absolutely thrilled".

"What is especially pleasing for us is that Anne is the second millionaire created at 32Red in the last 13 months," he added.

Anne's win comes on the heels of a comparable jackpot of $946,886 won last weekend by Norweigan gamer KarinK, who found success on Microgaming's Sir CashALot slot at 7Sultans.com.

The largest progressive jackpot on the software developer's books is currently Mega Moolah, which stands well above $5 million and continues to rise by the second.
