Las Vegas 'the place to be' for New Year's Eve
31st December, 2007
Las Vegas is the place to be this New Year's Eve with more than 300,000 visitors expected and a number of celebrities hosting parties to see in 2008.
According to US magazine The First Post, visitors to the gambling capital of the world can party the night away alongside the likes of Kevin Federline, the Backstreet Boys, Mariah Carey, Paris and Nicky Hilton and Pamela Anderson.
The A-Listers will all be marking the New Year with huge bashes at one of the numerous casinos and nightclubs dotted about the city.
However, the priciest place to party looks set to be the Jay-Z's luxury sports bar 40/40 at the Palazzo which will have its launch night tonight.
Tickets for the huge event cost a cool $700 (£350) and it will be attended by the likes of Beyonce, Rhianna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jamie Foxx as well as US sporting heroes Lebron James, Magic Johnson, Serena Williams and Barry Bonds.
