Jay-Z invites guests to club with casino slot machine
4th December, 2007
Jay-Z, a popular rap artist, has sent out the invitations to some elite guests to come to the grand opening of his brand new bar 40/40 in the world capital of gambling, Las Vegas.
Guests of the hip hop veteran received a mini slot machine, which showed the dates of the upcoming launch party each time the side-handle was pulled, the LA Times says.
The party, being held on December 30th, will see the opening of the third 40/40 club which will be located on the world-famous Las Vegas strip.
"We represent what the entertainment capital of the world is all about, it's only natural we open here," said Jay-Z.
The new nightclub is expected to entertain some of the world's most famous poker players, who regularly head to the gambling mecca to play cards.
Last year, Jay-Z and his professional baseball pal Alex Rodriguez held a charity poker tournament at his other exclusive 40/40 nightclub in New York.
The event raised thousands of dollars for Rodriguez's A-Rod Family Foundation and Jay-Z's S. Carter Scholarship Foundation.
