Hoosier Park casino 'on track'
12th March, 2008
A new casino at Hoosier Park is on schedule for completion, its general manager has told the Horse Racing Commission.
General manager for gaming Jim Brown said that the development is set to ready for its planned opening date in June.
"Our project is on time and on budget," he said, the Herald Bulletin reports. "We anticipated opening in June with a fully integrated racing, gaming, dining and entertainment facility."
Mr Brown also indicated that remote betting from the casino floor could be implemented. Six-foot windows overlooking the track already mean that casino-goers can watch the action on the track from inside.
He confirmed that management for the casino is already in place and there have been 3,000 applications for other positions.
