Debate over Casino in Kentucky

Kentucky is the most recent target for casinos. Currently law prohibits gambling operators from opening casinos there but lawmakers are now debating a change.
The state capital was rushed with people on Wednesday as hundreds of church goers turned out to rally against the possible casinos. The protestors see themselves as protecting the state from the problems that expansion of gambling would cause. They feel that they are on a moral campaign to help the commonwealth.
Religious and political leaders from all over the state were in attendance at Wednesday's protest. Stan Lee, one of the states congressmen said "Whether you’re a gambler or not, casino gambling will bring a crime wave with it".
Crime, robbery and prostitution are all expected to rise very quickly if the introduction of the casinos is condoned.
