Charity event to be held at the Circus Circus
12th August, 2008
The Circus Circus Reno casino will be housing a charity event hosted by Get Gold Cash, a famous national gold recycler, who will be donating a portion of the night’s proceeds to a fund that helps charities in local communities.
The event will be held over the weekend of the 22-24 August in the Circus Reno Casino Ballroom from 10am to 10pm.
“We are thrilled that Circus Circus Reno has invited us to help them in their fundraising efforts,” said Craig Nusinov, president of Get Gold Cash.
Employees and customers of the casino can come to the event and sell any unwanted jewellery or precious metals and will be given cash on the spot. The program has only been running for less than year but has already donated thousands of dollars to charities for companies such as the Johns Hopkins Children’s Centre, Lockheed Martin and Provident Bank.
“”It’s a great program because it fills three needs at once,” Nusinoc said. “First, it gives employees and patrons of organizations a chance to sell old jewellery, getting instant cash for unwanted, outdated or broken items that have been collecting dust in a box or drawer. Second, it recycles precious metals, which helps alleviate the need for further mining and damage to the environment. Third, and foremost, it really gives companies a unique way to raise thousands of dollars for a great cause. We’ve had an overwhelming positive response from this program so far.”
The program works to help corporations, schools and hospitals raise funds, and has actually been quite successful.
