Casino by the Red Sea Might Become a Reality

PM Olmert, who became Israel’s prime minister only a year ago, wants to open a casino in Eilat after three years of freezing the matter. It has been discovered that two teams are looking into the idea of building a gambling resort in this beautiful place by the red sea.
The prime minister started preparing a month ago already when he ordered the establishment of a group that has the treasury's director general, Yarom Ariav, as a leader to research and analyze the matter and come up with some sort of a plan.
The issue is discussed and analyzed by the committee which includes many different groups to make the final decision fair and including of every instances’ opinions. There are representatives of the police and from the justice, tourism, welfare, interior and other ministers. Some of the most important questions are based around the location and the ownership of the future resort, i.e. whether states or privately owned.
So we shall wait and see if in the near future we can enjoy the Red Sea gambling. If the resort is to be built, the casino is planned to have some local interior design and authentic feel.
