Casino Royale wins Blu-Ray award
5th December, 2007
It has been over a year since Casino Royale has been released and only now it has been handed a live action Blu-ray gong at the High_Def Disc Awards.
The Bond film, which stars Daniel Craig, was awarded at a prestigious ceremony in the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Casino Royale, which focuses heavily on poker playing, scooped the award after it was praised by a judging panel of film critics and bloggers.
Back in July, the Bond movie was handed Blu-ray Title Of The Year at the Entertainment Merchants Association's Home Entertainment Awards.
Casino Royale was one of the most popular films of last year with movie buffs and poker enthusiasts flocking to the cinema to see the latest 007 installment.
The latest award follows a long line of gongs which the Martin Campbell-directed film has achieved, including a Bafta for Best Sound and an Excellence in Production Design Award from the Art Directors Guild.
