Casino Robbery Suspect Under Arrest

The man who is considered to be one of the gang members that is believed to have robbed at Monte Casino in 2005, in Carnival City Casino not too long ago and also Standard Bank in Rivonia Boulevard couple of days ago; has been shot in Fordsburg on Saturday and is now in the hospital waiting to be questioned.
There are a lot of forces involved in confronting the man in Fordsburg on Saturday. They included the Special Investigation Unit, the Hillbrow Robbery Reaction Unit and Johannesburg Dog Unit.
Opperman explains what happened: "The suspect arrived and was confronted by police. He was shot in the leg when he violently resisted and tried to escape. Investigators are now hopeful that they would soon arrest the other gang members involved in the violent armed robberies carried out at casinos and banks in Gauteng over the past three years.”
He also added that two policemen were injured during the Carnival City Casino in September. The suspect at the moment is under serious police watch.
