Casino Employee Catches Fraudster
30th October, 2007
Eric Alan Lloyd, AKA Rick Lloyd, Michael Stewart, Adam Stewart and Michael Jacobsen, was wanted in several states by several law enforcement agencies on fraud charges for some time and is now in custody in Yamhill County.
According to deputies, Erik Lloyd, 42, was making money by asking for cash donations for made up youth sporting activities, local clubs and organizations, promising those in businesses and homes that donations would include advertisements in bulletin boards and programs.
He was taking cash and checks giving back a receipt and a whole load of promises of donation benefits from $20 to $200.
The man was hard to catch as he never stayed in the same location for too long and only due to the watchful eye of Spirit Mountain casino employee, who recognized Lloyd after seeing his photo in the newspaper, and called the police; the man was coughed once and for all.
Now Lloyd is in the custody having to face at least four 4 fraud cases out of Newberg-Dundee and being held on warrants from Washington, Clackamas and Josephine counties in Oregon.
Surprisingly this is not the first time the man has tried to make some unlawful money, as he has a history of running different schemes, which is why there are warrants on his arrest in Nebraska, Colorado, California and Washington.
