Betfair to release new multiplayer games
26th February, 2008
Internet casino gambling operator Betfair has joined forces with Swedish online gaming services company Jadestone to launch a series of new multiplayer games.
The two firms have now signed a contract which commits Jadestone to developing a number of new titles for the online casino operator - the first of which is set to reach the market in spring.
Commenting on the new agreement, Jadestone chief executive Robert Henrysson said that Betfair was one of the largest and most trusted e-gaming brands in the world, making it an ideal platform for the Swedish firm's new casino games.
"It has a large and loyal customer base and continually enhances its content and its service in support of its customers," he went on to say. "We are very proud and excited to be working with Betfair on new game production and we are confident that Betfair customers will be wowed by the games that we jointly bring to market later this year."
Betfair managing director Steve Ives returned the civilities, describing the operator's new partner as a "young and creative" games company with wide-ranging experience across the sector.
