Leading online casino operator 888.comhas launched a new website dedicated to responsible gaming called 888 Responsible.

The online information portal will advise gamblers on responsible gaming as well as offer services for those who are concerned about addiction to betting and internet games.

888.com says that the new site highlights the firm's commitment to responsible gambling and ensuring their members have a similar attitude.

Among the information and services on offer are tools to help parents identify gambling-related problems in their children as well as self-assessment tests to help players to determine their own online gambling habits.

The new site has received certification from gambling addiction support service GamCare - which said it was impressed with 888.com's commitment to "ensuring that gaming remains responsible and fun".

Andrew Poole, GamCare's head of online services, said: "GamCare recognises the good work 888.com has achieved in producing an informative site that aims to not only help people keep their gambling in control but that also identifies how people can access support for themselves or someone else who may be affected by a gambling problem."
