7 Atlantic City Casinos Go Smoke-free
18th September, 2007
Following the law that city officials have introduced last year to stop smoking in city casinos, 7 out of the total 11 casinos have now decided to adopt that law and ban smoking from their gambling rooms.
Nevertheless, smoking will be allowed in special smoking lounges in the casino, designed for that purpose only, so there will not be any gambling going on there. Therefore clients who wish to light up a ciggy will have to separate themselves from the slot machines and poker tables and go to special enclosed smoking areas that are yet to be created.
Smokers feel very unhappy about this, as they feel that smoking and gambling go together. Non-smokers or former smokers on the other hand express very positive feedback to this new law enforcement. They claim that smoke by the casino tables gets so thick sometimes that it becomes extremely hard to breathe.
