Card Counting

The strategy of card counting is to determine the probability of your next card being dealt and to work out your hand.

The card counter would work out, in their head or by other means the ratio of high value cards such as aces, royals and tens being dealt compared to low value cards - twos, threes, fours.

a card counter will raise their hand when the ratio of high to low cards falls in their favour and like wise they will fold when the opposite happens.

Casinos will tell you that card counting is illegal and will do their upmost to ban those suspected of counting cards from their premises. However, card counting is completely legal and as such a skilled player of say the game of blackjack, will have a greater advantage over the house than an unskilled player.

Countermeasures used by casinos to stop card counters include attempting to distract the card counter by engaging them in conversation; using sophisticated technlogy, casinos will share the identities of suspected card counters and using facial recognition technology, will clock them when they enter the casino; increase in shuffling, especially when a player increases their bet.

Card counting is not so easy when playing at online casinos.
